The Norman Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate missing person 74-year-old Charles French.

French was last seen on May 2. He was in the process of moving from a home in Grady County to a property in eastern Cleveland County. On May 2, French stopped by a friend’s home in Norman to borrow a truck and has not been seen since. His family reported French missing to the Norman Police Department on May 18, and a Silver Alert was immediately issued. The Silver Alert remains active.

It is believed that French is driving a white, single-cab 1991 GMC Dually Truck with a full truck bed bearing Oklahoma License Plate BZC-878. The truck has a propane tank and a spare tire in the truck bed; both are visible from the rear of the truck.

French’s family has advised that he may have onset of dementia, and are concerned for his well-being.

Norman police ask that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Charles French or the vehicle described above immediately call 405-321-1444 or contact Detective Cory Lambrecht at 405-217-7790. The case is currently under investigation by the NPD Criminal Investigations Division.
